The Family Justice Council is holding its 8th Annual Debate and panel discussion at Central Hall, Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London SW1H 9NH between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday 11th November 2014.
The topic for this year’s debate is transparency. The motion for debate reads: “Transparency in family proceedings – Is the Family Court Open for Business”
The event will be chaired by the Rt. Hon. Sir James Munby, President of the Family Division of the High Court, and Chairman of the Family Justice Council. The Speakers are:
- Dr Julia Brophy – is a principal researcher in Family Justice
- Sue Berelowitz – Deputy Children’s Commissioner for England and also Family Justice Council member
- Sir Roderick Newton – Family Division High Court judge
- The 4th Speaker will be confirmed shortly
As there is likely to be a high demand and spaces are limited for this event we advise applying as soon as possible. We hope to achieve a balanced and diverse audience and will aim to inform successful applicants by no later than Tuesday 4 November 2014.
