On 1 January 2026. our founder and chair, Lucy Reed KC, will commence her two year term as Vice Chair of the Family Law Bar Association. Consequently, Lucy will be stepping back from her role as chair of The Transparency Project.
Fellow founding member and trustee, Dr Julie Doughty, will take Lucy’s place as chair.
Lucy says ‘I’ve been at the helm of The Transparency Project for more than a decade, and I’m really proud of what we have achieved as a team over that time. I will continue as a trustee and to actively support the work of the TP. In our second decade we want to rejuvenate the project with fresh membership of our core group, in particular from practising family lawyers who are in court representing clients regularly.’
If you would like to write for The Transparency Project, or to get involved in our work, please get in touch with the trustees on trustees@transparencyproject.org.uk.
We have a small favour to ask!
The Transparency Project is a registered charity in England & Wales run largely by volunteers who also have full-time jobs. We’re working hard to secure extra funding so that we can keep making family justice clearer for all who use the court and work within it.
Our legal bloggers take time out at their own expense to attend courts and to write up hearings.
We’d be really grateful if you were able to help us by making a small one-off (or regular!) donation through our Just Giving page.
